sloran@abshs.org

My name is Sherri Loran and I am a Professional Development/Behavior Support Specialist with Absaroka Head Start.

I was a originally a Head Start parent for 5 ½ years in Cody and it was such a wonderful experience when a job opening for Teacher Aide became available in February 2011, I jumped at the chance to become an employee at the Cody Center.

This position lasted a few years and then in September 2014 I became the Teacher in the 3-year-old classroom, and a few months later became Center Supervisor.  The opportunity presented itself in early 2017 to become a Regional Coordinator allowing me to travel to other centers to coach and mentor teaching staff and manage facilities.  For the 23/24 school year, I became the primary trainer for the Crisis Prevention Institute Non-violent Crisis Prevention program for Absaroka.   My current position is as a Professional Development/Behavior Support Specialist, which allows me to continue to coach/mentor more intentionally in addition to CPI training.

My education includes an Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies, a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, and a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Science with a focus on Professional Child Development. Some of the things I love about working for Absaroka are how I am able to use all of my education in a variety of settings and have the opportunity for continuous on-gong personal professional development.

I currently live in Meeteetse with three of my seven children.  We enjoy the outdoors hiking, fishing, kayaking, camping and hunting.

Head Start has been a major part of my life for over 18 years, and I feel privileged to be a part of such an amazing program!
